Software As A Service

Software As a Service Definition
Home / glossary / Software As A Service

Software as a Service (SaaS) – A company may sell you software that you use through a web browser or an app. You do not control, own, or install the software on your computer. These are cloud services. Some examples might be sites like draw.io, or Google’s GSuite, or Microsofts Office365
Software as a service offers convenience for a price. For example, Google GMail is a popular service that is free for end users, with the hidden price of Google scanning for trends in your mail and generating marketing information to advertisers who pay for that information.
